Best Movie - is the film Feature/Short who exemplifies in all categories judged: cinematography, editing, sound design and over all story structure.
Best Director - we know it is hard to get your vision across and the act of directing is a very involved process when dealing with creative people and their interpretation of your vision, for this we do recognize the hard work that a director makes.
Best Male Role - this will be awarded to the best male lead/supporting cast member that not only sells the role but owns it and makes us believe that the story was written around them.
Best Female Role - this will be awarded to the best female lead/supporting cast member that not only sells the role but owns it and makes us believe that the story was written around them.
Best Cinematography - a great story is told thru many forms but the best way to celebrate this in a film is visually, why should I keep watching it and what does it tell me?
Best Editing - they say that a film is told three times, the initial writing of it, the filming of it and finally the editing of it. With this knowledge how did you tell your story thru editing? did you decide to cut short or hold long or did you follow any of the editing principals?
Best Sound Design - Yes you should care about sound design just as much if not more than video for it will make it a really good film or just something you decided to take a video of slap it together in hopes of someone calling it good. Sorry if we sound harsh but we can't express how much sound design is overlooked in Indi Film Making.
Best Student Film High school/College - its never too early to get your foot in the door and express your vision! whether your a high school or college film student tell us your story.
